With recent climate emergency declarations across the globe and in various cities including Lincoln – how can we start to consider swapping four wheels for two?

HireBikes can be accessed throughout the city. Pictured opposite Brayford Pool.

Access Lincoln, an organisation run by Lincoln Big, have created their own Cycle Network set in place to encourage the people of Lincoln to get on their bike throughout the year.

“There’s some lovely cycle routes in and around Lincoln,” says Alison Mackfall, Project Co-Ordinator for Access Lincoln “we also have some great facilities such as the orange hire bikes dotted around the city.”

Is it time to swap four wheels for two?

She added “we continue to put on activities to encourage people to leave their car behind”.

From mobile workshops to make your bike road safety ready to lessons on road etiquette, there is no reason not to hop on your bike on your morning commute or to see the sights that Lincoln has to offer.
