This Monday sees World Poetry Day being celebrated internationally. Lincolnshire is home to arguably one of the most famous poets to come out of the UK – Lord Alfred Tennyson.

Nowadays, the county is home to another poet, Canadian-born Paul Sutherland, who is also the editor of Dream Catcher. Based in Market Rasen, Dream Catcher is a literary magazine that is a forum for aspiring writers.

Paul spoke to Carmen Shillam this week about World Poetry Day and its importance to him and gave an exclusive recitation of his poem ‘No Trains in Cyprus’.
