The well-established event, which took place on the weekend (29-30 Nov) at the Lincolnshire Showground, represented a traditional Lincolnshire Christmas spectacular with over 150 food, gift and craft stands.

The event also hosted a two-day programme of cookery demonstrations from local foodie producers in a bid to show visitors how to make a delicious Christmas feast. British Bake Off winner, Nancy Birtwhistle, made a special guest appearance on the Sunday.

The Food and Gift Fair wasn’t just held to fill hungry bellies, but it was an opportunity for visitors to shop in a festive atmosphere amongst the voices of local choirs on site.

Sponsorship and Trade Sales Manager, Sally Mundy, said: “We’ve had a wide range of gifts this year which is fantastic, so everything from wooden products like handmade cheese boards and bread boards to jewellery and home interior products. There was something for everybody.”

The Food and Gift Fair gave Christmas shoppers the opportunity to celebrate Lincolnshire which is famous for its local produce and artisan baking.

Mrs Mundy said: “We’re very much supporters of Lincolnshire produce, so everything from Lincolnshire sausages, all pork and beef products, lots of Lincolnshire cheese and Lincolnshire preserves. Plus, there were lots of Lincolnshire bakers too with Lincolnshire plum bread, mince pies and Christmas cakes.”
