Routes for Lincoln’s 2015 British Cycling Championships were announced on October 22. The events take place in Lincoln and other areas within the Lincolnshire Wolds.

The event organisers, Lincoln Grand Prix submitted a winning bid which was awarded to them in February.

It will run for a total of four days from June 25-28 featuring many events. These Include the British National Road Race Championships and the British National Time Trial Championships which will go through the Lincolnshire Wolds.

On June 28, Lincoln will see the competing cyclists taking part in the annual Lincoln Grand Prix circuit ride through the city.

‘‘Lincolnshire is perfect cycling country. For the touring cyclist it has large flat expanses, huge open skies and pretty villages by the score. It should all offer a huge boost to the local economy, not only around next June’s events but also in the future’’ said The Mayor of Lincoln, Councillor Brent Charlesworth.
