This year’s Sport Relief has seen comedian John Bishop put himself through a week of hell as well as thousands of people taking to the streets to run the Sport Relief Mile.
Here in Lincolnshire, four people have decided to help in their own way by taking part in a 24 hour snookerthon.
Kelvin Defty, Anthony Voss, Matt Rowland and Kam Sekhon started their challenge at 10am on Friday, March 23rd and will be playing continuously until 10am on Saturday, March 24th.
They approached Rileys Pool and Snooker Club in Lincoln who were more than happy to help them out by supplying them with two free tables as well as free food and drink during the day.
The boys originally aimed to raise £300 but have already smashed that and raised over £400. They decided to pay a 10p fine for every foul that they made and have made at least £30 just from that.
As we left the scene, the countdown that was tracking their progress crashed when Anthony plugged in his phone to the computer. With plenty more hours left to go, they are glad of the support they have been given.
