Due to the increase of demand for spaces, the expansion will replace the smaller existing shelter on Saint Rumbold Street.

Manager of the Nomad Trust, Dean Bell said: “The individual rooms will be giving people who are street homeless, the dignity they deserve.”

“People naturally seem to gravitate to Lincoln because it is almost like the capital of the shire. And as a result we get a lot more people street sleeping.”

Featuring 56 beds spaces, its due to be completed in two years time.
