A new app is being launched to allow members of the public to hold police to account.

It works by uploading videos of confrontations between the police and the general public.

British civil rights campaigners got the idea for the app after meeting with the Black Lives Matter movement in California, these campaign against race-related police brutality.

The UK version of the app has been developed by charities called Release and Stop Watch, it allows civilians to film the police and send the footage to be assessed by lawyers.
