Earn while you learn

Young people in Lincolnshire who are looking for employment are being given a helping chance by the Nation Apprenticeship scheme.

The City of Lincoln Council is currently running two apprenticeship schemes. Young apprentices can take a Business Administrative apprenticeship course which only last a year. Or the second scheme they run is the craft apprenticeship course. This can take up to three years depending on the trade you learn.

Jane Newman, the work based learning officer at the City of Lincoln Council says this is a great way to earn while you learn.

Reporter Gemma Goacher spoke to Ali Thacker, an apprentice currently undertaking the Business Administrative course. He told us how it has helped him secure a future career.
