Coffee Cats of Lincoln are not getting enough affection due to COVID-19

Coffee Cats Lincoln café on Sliver Street is affected due to coronavirus pandemic.

Stephen Brown, owner of Coffee Cats Lincoln, says: “The cats are not getting enough fuss, play and affection.

“You can tell they are waiting for humans to come and see them.

“Usually we have people queuing outside to see them. Cats can tell something is happening.”

All the cats at the café are rescued. Their welfare and safety is taken seriously. The playroom offers plenty of stimulation, exercise and snuggles spaces. The staff is trained and carries health and safety checks throughout the day to ensure they are looked after. With regular attention from staff and customers it is believed the cats are happy and contented.

Stephen says:” If they weren’t here they would be in a shelter. An environment where their needs are not taken care of properly.

“If we were to shut down we will still need people to sit and play with the cats. They need affection and fuss.”
