Coronavirus wreaks havoc on Lincolnshire as large number of events cancelled

Coronavirus has taken its toll on the world and the effects are now more disruptive than ever with events across Lincolnshire being cancelled.

This comes after schools in Ireland are to be closed for two weeks to stop further spreading of the virus, responsible for 460 cases in the country and eight deaths.

Several events around the county have been cancelled or postponed with The Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership delaying its first ever skills conference.

It was due to take place this week with over 400 people predicted to attend, but it will now be held on October 13.

All events hosted by the Lincolnshire Growth Hub have been postponed as well, and the company has apologised for any inconvenience this may cause.

A post-budget presentation by Streets Chartered Accounts has been affected and the organisation will now use a video instead.

The government has called a Cobra Meeting today to discuss the plans for future events, as well as schools, workplaces and universities.
