Higher education budget cuts

 

Universities will face a 40% budget cut within the next four years. Following Tuesday’s Comprehensive spending review  it was revealed that the budget will be cut by £4.2 billion.

With universities set to face their highest demand for places this year, it should be a prosperous time for higher education establishments. However from 2012 University budgets will be dramatically cut, which could cause a dramatic ripple affect across all universities in the UK.  Lincoln University Deputy Vice Chancellor Professor Scott Davidson did not agree with the cuts.
