Historic Pub Saved From Closure

An historic pub has reopened after nearly being turned into a frozen food supermarket.

The Lincoln Imp in Ermine was set to be closed and turned into a supermarket but plans fell through after a dispute over ownership of the car park.

The plans were announced by the council to turn the closed pub into a Heron food supermarket but this was met with dozens of objections.

The pub carpark was built on former church property it being built on, which meant the plan fell through. Avril Pickard, the Imp’s former landlady picked up the pub again and it has now reopened.
