Recent changes to Facebook’s privacy settings have prompted a furious backlash from online watchdog associations. Facebook say that the changes give its users greater control over what content other people can access. But watchdog groups have slammed the move after it was revealed that this was only the case if users followed a pop-up prompt allowing them to access and alter their privacy settings.

They are also concerned that if users do not alter their privacy filters, they will end up sharing a lot more data than they were previously, making them more accessible to malicious applications. We asked Facebook users from Lincoln whether they thought their profiles were secure enough;
