Shoppers seeking gifts with a difference can get a sneaky first look at the new items on sale at Lincoln Cathedral’s shop.
The annual Christmas Preview Evening will take place on Wednesday November 20, and those going will receive a 15% discount on items.
The event will see the launch of the Cathedral shop’s festive product range, and will run from 5pm until 8pm.
The range will include nativity sets, advent candles, Christmas themed calendars, a selection of locally sourced seasonal jams and marmalade, crafts and more.
Shop manager Sam McKay said: “Our aim is to raise as much money for the Cathedral as we can.
“Everything we make in the shop is then gifted towards the Cathedral’s ministry, mission and to preserve the fabric of the Cathedral.”

Ms McKay said: “On the evening Lincoln Cathedral’s Refectory will be there offering tea, coffee and free mince pies.
“We also have a pianist coming along who will perform some seasonal music.”
Local suppliers have been invited to the event which include; the Lincolnshire Brewing Company, Curtis of Lincoln bakery and Harold Pinchbeck Watches.
Bakery assistant at Curtis of Lincoln, Ann Houlton said: “We have just recently just started supplying Lincoln cathedral and we are planning on selling our plum bread there.”
The Cathedral have also recently increased their range of beer from the Lincolnshire Brewing Company.
Ms McKay said: “We would like to increase the ranges of local produce in the shop, and this will help reduce our carbon footprints.”
“it is also making people more aware of Lincolnshire produce and local craft products.”
Anyone is welcome to attend the event.
“We would like to give people the opportunity to come along in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere” said Ms McKay.
