Lincoln City are against tough competitors in tonight’s National League

The Lincoln city boss hopes to beat the visiting club on their home ground – a feat which no one has done yet this season.

Lincoln City will have to put up a strong fight in tonight’s match against Boreham Wood, who has yet to lose while away from their home this season.

Danny Cowley who is Lincoln City’s current boss has said that Boreham are the ‘dark horses’ in the division this season, according to the Lincolnshire Live.

“They recruited really well in the summer and really early as well. They signed a couple of Braintree boys who we know well – Kenny Davis and Matt Paine.

“Kenny was Braintree captain and Matt was a fantastic defender for us. They’re both excellent players and I’m looking forward to seeing them.

However, The Imps have the upper hand of playing on their home turf in Sincil Bank and they have been doing very well for themselves, following the arrival of Elliot Whitehouse from Nuneaton Town last week.

The club has been going six games unbeaten and currently rank in third place in the National League.

Mr Cowley said: “If we want to get the result we all want, we’re going to have to do something that no-one else has done this season – beat Boreham Wood on home soil.”
