The event, which was hosted in the County Assembly Rooms, was dubbed as the ‘busiest yet’ as visitors looked at the cruelty-free food, homemade crafts and entertainment that were on offer.

This comes a week before the traditional Lincoln Christmas Market opens for business.

Sheena Louise, who organised the event said: “The market is a great alternative to the Christmas Market, which I and a few others personally think isn’t inclusive enough options wise.

“Year on year I see an increase in visitors and this year has been the busiest yet. I do think that’s to be expected when veganism is becoming more of a well-known and respected lifestyle choice.”

Veganism is a plant-based diet that cuts out any product produced either from, or by an animal. As of 2019, 600,000 people are reported to be vegan in the UK.
