Work has finished today on a colourful new mural in the centre of Lincoln.

Graffiti artists Luke St Clair-Pedroza and James Mayles have been working on the artwork since November 4th.

The design, which has been carried out on the old Boots store on Lincoln High Street, is centred around the theme of Lincoln. It features Imps and stained glass windows that represents the cathedral.

However, the finished artwork has split of on Lincoln’s high street.

Luke Daniels, 22, said: “It’s different. It definitely stands out, there is nothing like this on the High Street.”

Alice Packard, 31, said: “It’s certainly bright, but I don’t think that’s a bad thing. I quite like how it’s different but still incorporates Lincoln with the Imps.”

Angus Wright, 52, said: “It doesn’t fit in with the rest of the High Street. I understand the relevance with the Imps but other than that it just doesn’t fit in with the character of Lincoln.”

The project was funded by the Lincoln Business Investment Group (BIG), the same organisation that funded the re-decoration of the Brayford underpass.
