Smashing our neighbours Nottingham and Sheffield, with almost triple the overall score of London!

Lincoln’s pristine air quality has rocketed it to the top spot in the country as one of the best places to raise a family in the UK, according to a recent study.

Lincoln narrowly steals the top spot from Chesterfield, and comes top out of the UK’s 200 largest towns and cities with because of its high air quality. It scored decently in all nine categories surveyed in the study by Electric Ride on Cars, a UK based supplier of children’s toy cars.

“I could not believe how cheap the house prices were!” says ex-Cambridge resident after a recent study placed Lincoln as the #1 place to raise a family in the UK.

Callum is a Lincoln resident who has previously lived in Cambridge, ranked 57th in the UK and a very similarly sized city to Lincoln.

He also expressed how Lincoln’s sense of community is much greater than Cambridge and something he is proud to be a part of.

Cambridge ranked fairly similarly to Lincoln in terms of educational opportunities with 17 outstanding schools compared to Lincoln’s 18, but falls behind in other areas.

Stats in the study were sourced from Zoopla, Numbeo, GOV.UK, The Geographist and Britannica. Cities were then given an overall score based on the average of these stats.
