Lincoln taxi drivers have been told they need to take a new mandatory BTEC course which will cost £240. The City of Lincoln Council are one of the handful of authorities across the country to impose the qualification.

The course includes modules in: customer care, public protection, routes and fares and health and safety. It demands that all of the drivers must pass the course or they will lose their license the next time they renew it.

LSJ News spoke to some local taxi drivers to get their opinion on the matter.
