Lincoln’s Big Mini Day

Brayford Waterfront was filled with a fantastic display of Minis for Lincoln’s Big Mini Day which featured all types of old classics and modern-day BMWs.

The event, now in its 12th year, was organised by Trent Valley Mini Owners Club and Lincoln Business Improvement Group.

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Classic Mini – designed by Sir Alec Issigonis in 1959.

It’s also the 50th anniversary since the release of The Italian Job – The iconic British film which heavily featured the Mini, starring Michael Caine.

The Lincolnshire Cooper Club will hold an event with a screening of the film on May 5 in Cleethorpes where the director – Peter Collinson – was born.
