LSJ News will be broadcasting live results for Lincolnshire, reacting and talking all things politics tonight. There will be alive blog feed, as well as a live programme.

How to look out for a winner:

  • Majority – a party must win in 326 constituencies. The winning party will then go to Buckingham Palace to ask the Queen’s permission to form a new government.
  • Hung Parliament – there is no clear majority winner. The PM in charge before, in this case Boris Johnson, will be given the first chance to create a new government. In this case there could be a coalition, an attempt to govern with a minority number of MP’s or to resign and recommend the leader of the largest opposition party to form a government.
  • Coalition – When two parties build an alliance to form a government.
