LSJ TV: Lincoln’s hidden treasure

There are many hidden treasures in Lincoln. Some stare straight at you and, once you see them, you realise what you’ve been missing.

Others appear to be secreted away from public view. Lincoln’s Guildhall is where the City Council holds all its full council meetings; the heart of local democracy in action. And in this building, which dates back to Tudor England, are ancient swords, arrows and silverware each telling their own unique story.

At the moment about a thousand people a year visit the Guildhall and see the gems for themselves. But the city council says anyone is welcome to take a tour.

Our reporter Barnie Choudhury was given an exclusive behind the scenes look at what’s under the very noses of Lincoln-folk.
