New Cycling Routes to Commemorate 100 Years of the RAF in Lincolnshire

To celebrate Lincolnshire’s long and close history with the RAF, new cycling routes are opening so that you can explore the beautiful countryside on two wheels.

Four new cycling routes will be opening to take in the best that Lincolnshire and the RAF have to offer.

The routes range from 12 to 55 miles and are on bicycle paths or quite country lanes.

Lincolnshire became known as the “Bomber County” during the Second World War and today more RAF personnel are based in Lincolnshire than any other county in the UK.

The 100 Voices trails tell the story of the RAF through the people who have served our in the Armed Forces.

The voices are each displayed on a wing sign around Lincoln and Lincolnshire.

The routes are designed for all to enjoy and experience parts of the county that you might not have seen before.
