Pupils at Marton Academy want to save our planet’s turtles

Key stage one and two pupils at Marton Academy built a turtle in a bid to save plastic and learn about pollution.

Teacher Simon Green said:

“Projects like this one enhance pupil’s learning and understanding of critical issues – we will always look to provide these memorable experiences as they are the things about school that children look back on fondly. They won’t ever forget making an 8 foot turtle out of smelly milk bottles…we are now planning a whole sculpture garden for the community to enjoy!”
