Residents striving to keep streets safe

Lincoln residents are starting their own community safety schemes to keep the streets safe after  the collapse of the Lincoln and North Kesteven Neighbourhood Watch scheme.

The last recorded meeting of the Lincoln and North Kesteven Neighbourhood Watch was in 2013.

Since then 10 unofficial Neighbourhood Watch schemes have opened in the Sincil Bank area of the city alone – and there are other groups elsewhere too.

Lincolnshire Police, which supports the official scheme, have been approached for a comment on the issue.
