Spate of armed robberies in Lincoln puts residents on edge

Three separate accounts of armed robbery have occurred in and around the city of Lincoln over the weekend.

The incidents happened at the Co-Op store on Skellingthorpe Road on Saturday night, the Sainsbury’s store on Carholme Road early Sunday morning and another Co-Op store, this time on Queen Elizabeth Road late Sunday evening.

No one was hurt in any of the robberies and they are not believed to be connected.

Lincolnshire Police have issued an appeal for any information.
