Staying Safe Online Campaign Launches for Christmas.

A partnership between the Lincolnshire Safeguarding Boards for Adults and Children have launched a campaign to help keep people safe online.

The event is designed to run alongside the twelve days of Christmas and will feature twelve days of

campaigning between the third and fourteenth of December 2018.

The campaign is designed to make sure people of all ages are kept safe online as well as promoting the support and advice available to people.

Collaborations with organisations include Internet Matters, Age UK, Get Safe Online, NSPCC and Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue.

For the first day of the event the Lincolnshire Safeguarding for Children (LSCB) published a leaflet online which provides tips for children and young people as well as tips for parents and older people.

Meanwhile older people are being warned about the dangers of copycat websites that can scam people out of money by pretending to be a legitimate website or relationship scams where scammers use social networks and dating apps to gain your trust before they start asking you for money.
