The Midlands heat of the United Kingdom Barista Championship (UKBC) takes place at the Drill Hall in Lincoln next Wednesday, 9th February.
The championship, which involves competitors making various ‘speciality coffees’, pits some of the country’s finest baristas against each other, with the winner going on to represent the UK at the World Barista Championship in March.
John Sherwood, UKBC Chairman, explained to LSJ News’ Alex Blackburne what exactly a ‘speciality coffee’ was.
