Fraudulent emails from scammers posing as Student Finance England have been sent to students asking them to re-enter their account details due to a database update.
The message explains that if details are not re-entered, payment of student loans ‘will be suspended because of failed account verifications’.
Student Finance England have encouraged anyone who recieved the emails to ignore them and forward it to security@slc.co.uk.
