Dairy company Nocton Dairies have proposed plans to build Europes largest dairy cow farm in our humble county.

The super dairy would house over 8,000 cows and would be opertaional twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. The cows would be imported form Germany over a period over five years.

The controversial plans have been protested heavily against by local residents who are concerned it will disrupt their lifestyles. Worries of pollution, noise and smell have all been raised with the local council.

There are also concerns over animal welfare with many saying that a farm of this size will be impossible to manage efficently enough to maintian a healthy standard of life for the cattle.
