“THEY KICKED MY DOOR DOWN, THEN THERE WAS A MAN STANDING THERE”

Man left scared after finding a burglar in his house, as Lincoln road targeted

Burglaries in Lincoln are leaving residents ‘afraid’ to be alone is their own homes.

James Hawke, who came face to face with a burglar in his house, in Lincoln, said “It was awful. I was in the shower when I heard a loud bang when they kicked my door down, and then there was a man standing there just staring at me”.

“You would think that in broad daylight they just wouldn’t bother, but these people don’t care about that type of thing”.

This is the second burglary within a month on the same street in Lincoln. Mr Hawke also said that he thinks his house was targeted due to one bedroom having a PlayStation that was visible through the window.

He said that his female housemates are now too afraid to be alone in the house.

Joshua Spindley, who also lives on the same street and was burgled, said “We didn’t contact the police, because we just knew nothing would be done about it. We changed the locks and I guess that made us feel that little bit safer”
