WATCH: Lincoln TapHouse & Kitchen opens new rooftop dining igloos

Ever fancied dining under the stars? Well now you can.

Lincoln TapHouse & Kitchen has introduced two rooftop igloos for customers to enjoy food and drink in the warmth and comfort of their own pod, surrounded by some of the city’s most breath-taking scenery.

The three-and-a-half metre wide domes can be hired by groups of up to eight people, and are complete with sheepskin blankets and built-in heaters.

Diners can enjoy breathtaking views of Lincoln Cathedral as they eat.

Dan Neale, duty manager at Lincoln TapHouse, told LSJ News: “It’s something we’ve seen and thought that’s something we can bring to Lincoln, and we’ve had a lot of interest already.

“In my opinion we already had the best view in Lincoln, and now people can sit in a nice, heated dome and stare at the Cathedral at night.”

It’s free to book for tables of eight, and prices range from £25 to £150 for other bookings.

“We’ve had a lot of interest for Valentine’s Day,” Neale said. “It’s a nice romantic thing for some, and people can book them exclusively.

“You can see by the reaction from Facebook and the articles how much interest it’s really bringing to us, which is great.”

The igloos can be hired from 10am every day, but will only be available until March 29, 2018.
