Who Let The Dogs In?

Dog Friendly event success for Lincoln

Dog stands with owner on guided tour

A dog friendly weekend in Lincoln castle is looking to boost visitors to the city. The initiative to boost tourism allows dogs inside the grounds and the castle itself, to let them get a sniff of history themselves. Your four legged friend can follow you to the Magna Carter, along the medieval wall walk and into the Victorian prison

After the success of the dog friendly weekend events, Visit Lincoln teamed up with the RSPCA to create a ‘Dog Friendly Guide’ to Lincoln. The guide shows dog owners all the hotels, pubs, attractions and much more. But has the events and guides worked?

With this wide range of places to visit with a dog, what do the dog owners and tourists think? One couple said “We love taking our dog for a stroll, especially to the castle because he is part of the family.” Another dog walker said “I bought an annual pass because of it.”
