This weekend, Lincoln is opening it’s doors up to as many people as possible – residents and beyond. The annual event, Discover Lincolnshire Weekend, sees Lincoln offering free entry to many of its popular attractions.

On Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th March, visitors can receive free entry to Lincoln Cathedral, free rides on an open-top tour bus, tours of the Jew’s Court, guided tours of Lincoln Castle, free entry to Lincolnshire Road Transport Museum and many more events. The weekend hopes to open Lincoln’s most popular attractions to everyone, regardless of whether they can afford to visit normally.

The weekend has been running for a number of years and shows Yellowbellies and those who aren’t what Lincoln is all about by teaching them more about the history of the City. Discover Lincolnshire Weekend comes at the end of English Tourism Week which campaigns to celebrate the value and quality of tourism in England.

The City of Lincoln welcomed over four million tourists in 2015, who helped to generate a total of £190m in the local economy.
