Emily Kennedy is a student at the University of Lincoln and is voting today.
She said: “I think it’s really important to vote because it is our future. Because there is so much hate in the world at times, it’s important to voice your opinions.”
“You can’t complain if you aren’t voting to create change,” she added.
Emily is one of many who are in line to vote at the University’s Library.
Results of the election will be released early hours on Friday morning.
