Lincoln City Review and Preview

Lincoln City travel to Shrewsbury tomorrow as they look to bounce back from the 3-1 defeat to Notts County on Tuesday night.

On a controversial night at Meadow Lane, goals from Lee Hughes, Graham Lee and Delroy Facey were enough to see off the Imps who were dealt a blow in the 16th minute following the dismissal to Imps centreback Moses Swaibu when scores were level at 1-1.

Despite the defeat, Imps manager Chris Sutton was pleased with his sides battling qualities.

Tomorrows opposition Shrewsbury Town sit 12th in league two, slipping out of the play offs after a disastrous March and early April where the Shrews lost six on the trot. Their form has improved beating Crewe last Saturday and picking up a point at home to Cheltenham midweek. Shrewsbury boss Paul Simpson will be looking to end a run of four home games without a goal as they look to get their play off campaign back on track. Chris Sutton believes if his side cut out the mistakes then they have a chance.
