Lincoln residents are organising a yard sale to rid clutter

Cluttered workspaces, specifically, seem to increase levels of stress and anxiety.

Researchers have made connections between low quality work environments, such as cluttered offices with harsh lighting, and a reduction in work productivity and job satisfaction. Disorganised or cluttered workspaces, specifically, seem to increase levels of stress and anxiety.

WERA: Lincoln’s West End Residents Association group have arranged a West End Yard Sale on Sunday the 6th of June (relatively close to the end of many tenancies so perfect for students).

We spoke to the organiser, Amanda Elwell who said “ I had the idea during a spring clean after lockdown and thought lots of other people might be in the same position after lockdown eased up”.

The Yard sale is open to west end residents looking to sell unwanted items on their own property without having to mix with lots of people at a carboot sale.

Perhaps this is an opportunity for residents to clear their space and  boost their mental health?
