Lincoln – a city that never seems to sleep. Which makes it hard to picture this once-bustling city to be completely quiet and empty.

After the government’s advice which was given to the UK last week, the country has since been in a lockdown situation to stop COVID-19 spreading any further.

Local photographer, Joshua Ball captured the impact the lockdown has had on the heart of the city.

Joshua has lived in Lincoln his whole life and has been a photographer for the last three years. “I have spent so much time photographing the city, in all its business and bustle. To see it come to a standstill in such a dramatic manner demanded my attention.”

“Life may never look like this again in my lifetime, so I am glad I was able to capture what it was like before it goes back to normal.”
