Lincoln’s talent showed off their star quality earlier this week at pre-auditions for reality show Britain’s Got Talent.

Contestants gathered at the Magna Carter pub in Bailgate to audition for the show, with acts ranging from singers to belly dancers and ‘drag kings.’

The room was filled with hopefuls and their friends and family, with a social atmosphere. Many contestants started singing or rapping while they waited.

One auditionee, Michael, 22, said he had applied for the show once before, when he was a child:

“People told me I was good! Maybe history is repeating itself this time too!”

Contestants won’t find out if they have been successful until as late as January, when they will be called for televised auditions.
