The Lincoln Christmas Market has returned for its 33rd year and is expecting around 250,000 visitors from far and wide.
The four-day event, organised by the City of Lincoln Council, began yesterday, Thursday, December 3 and will run through until 7pm on Sunday, December 6.
Since the market began back in 1982, it has seen its stalls increase from just 11 to more than 200.
Some of those stalls taking part include the traditional German sausages, handmade gifts, bubble making and that good old festive mulled wine.
Our reporter, Holly O’Flinn, has been up the hill to speak to the organiser, stallholders and visitors.
For those concerned about travelling during the busy period, roads are not currently congested but at peak times, the Lincoln ring road could be affected.
Also, certain roads around the Steephill and Bailgate area will be closed and parking will be restricted.
