City of Lincoln Council has announced that £1 million has become available to refurbish Yarborough Leisure Centre in Lincoln.
The Active Nation venue will be transformed into a new double floored gym with the reception and foyer also due for changes.
Along with the £1 million available as capital funding, there is also an extra £200,000 available on external improvements including repairs to the swimming pool roof.
Users will benefit from new saunas and steam cabins as well as new dry changing rooms.
