There is no denying that there are people in the world who are hungry, and what’s worse is that British families are throwing away roughly eighty six million uneaten chickens a year.

The food wastage problem in Britain has blown out of control, which is beginning to put campaigners against food waste in the limelight.

Lucie Millitt spoke to Sonia Cropper who is working on the Feeding the 5000 campaign and Lincoln’s foodbank coordinator, Bethan Lloyd, to see if Britain can shed some light on this food wastage crisis.
